Having worked throughout Christmas and New Year, my love and I hadn't yet had the opportunity to have a proper break. Long overdue for a holiday, Aaron arranged to have a few days off in the New Year so that we could have some time together. We booked a short getaway to Stradbroke Island. Having never visited the island before, I was breath taken by the beauty of Stradbroke. A real feast for our eyes, with nature showing off at every turn. The water was a most spectacular shade of blue. I was in awe of this place.

One of my favourite moments was sitting with Aaron as we watched the sky turn from pretty pastels into darkness, as we sat snuggling by the beach. We talked about life and love and how grateful we were of this time together. Later that evening, we sat on our balcony and looked up at the starry night sky, talking the magnitude of the universe and how small we are. I am blessed to have spent this time with my Aaron. I am madly in love with him and am forever grateful for his presence in my life.

Stradbroke Island was so much more than I ever expected. I went into the holiday hoping for a few days of peace and relaxation. Yet I returned home with a new sense of confidence, focus and inspiration. My perspectives have changed and I feel lighter and brighter. I head in 2015 relaxed, excited and more passionate than ever.
