Lonsdale + Porteau Cove

The opportunity to travel and explore new places is something we’re so grateful to have started experiencing in the last few years. We had hoped to continue this trajectory with plans for the UK, Europe, US, and multiple Disney World vacations on the list. It seems the impending global pandemic had other plans for us.

This ongoing Covid situation has made life challenging for just about everyone. In the grand scheme of things, we’ve fared well. We’ve remained employed and have been able to work from home to keep our loved ones safe. But it’s been tough. An ocean separates us from our family and up until recently, the options for even seeing our own city have been limited. With no defined end in sight, the pandemic was the catalyst for shuffling our timelines around and buying a car much sooner. We see our new car as the key to exploring destinations a little closer to home.

Not only was this the first true vacation for us in nearly two years, but it was also the first one made possible by our cool new car :)

After a magical day, we drove across to Lonsdale for a much needed getaway (and to celebrate our engagement!). It was exactly what we needed - sunny, relaxed days by the harbour, hearty pub meals, ice cream sundaes, and an epic drive along the Sea to Sky highway to Porteau Cove.
