New Farm

On my birthday, the glamorous Kim and I took a trip back in time, and went to New Farm, where we spent a few hours eating at Vue, a cafe we used to frequent, back when we went to uni.

We had delicious breakfast (Iced Lattes, breakfast wrap, and eggs benedict with haloumi and chipolatas), and enjoyed being back in New Farm.

Afterwards, we went back to the places we lived in New Farm.  We started with the old Queenslander with studio apartments at 56 Moreton Street.  This house lives in a lovely street full of huge fig trees.

Before that we lived in a beautiful heritage listed duplex at 114 Moray Street, which adjoined directly onto the owners' yard, and as they were former landscapers, we always had perfectly manicured gardens.

It was lovely being back and revisiting our old homes as Kim and I prepare to wander halfway across the world, to visit a wholly different neighbourhood. [A]
