T'was the Week Before Christmas

... and what a mammoth week it was!

On Tuesday evening, we attended Aaron's work Christmas party at Madame Wu on Eagle St Pier. Great food, great company and an all-round fantastic night.

On Thursday, we saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens (on opening night, of course!). What an awesome thing, to be a part of this event! I'm so glad we chose to book tickets in advance for what is an iconic film. We grabbed Grill'd for dinner before heading over to the cinemas, where we were amongst many hardcore fans (some dressed in Star Wars cosplay), as well as staff decked out as storm troopers, Darth Vader and other characters. And what a film. Coming from a non-obsessed Star Wars viewer, The Force Awakens would have to be one of the best movies I've seen. Direction, story, acting, cinematography, music - all of it was exceptional.

On Saturday, we had amazing coffee at Anthology in the city (seriously, so fragrant. Hoping to get back there a few more times before we leave Bris!) before catching up with my bro Chris for lunch. We ate at a restaurant in Chinatown. I had dumplings. They were tasty. Afterwards, we walked back to Eagle St Pier and took a few photos together. This likely the last time we'll see Chris for a while! I'm proud of that kid and the wise, intelligent, focused and resilient person he's become.

T minus 7 weeks!
