Las Vegas - Part 3

After an adventurous Christmas day on the strip, we parted ways for the afternoon to freshen up before regrouping for dinner reservations at Picasso. This was by far one of the most luscious Christmas dinner’s we will likely ever have! Picasso at the Bellagio is a Two Michelin Star restaurant. We were in for a treat with this meal!

Our table overlooked the Bellagio water fountains and every 10 or so minutes, we were treated to a choreographed festive light show. The food itself was spectacular of course.

Having been in Vegas for 3 days now, we felt an obligation to try the slot machines at least once. See hilarious candid photos below. We wrapped up the night with a walk around the fountains, enjoying one final show together.

The goodbyes always seem to come too quickly. On day 4 we parted ways, with the family off on their American road trip. Aaron and I had an extra night in Vegas to ourselves, so we took the opportunity to explore the north end of the strip.

And as soon as it had commenced, our time in Vegas had come to an end. It was a fun way to wrap up our year - and what a year it was! We started 2018 with the news that we had successfully received Permanent Residency. We activated our PR with a quick trip to Seattle. Within a few weeks, Aaron was back at work, this time in a permanent role. We worked hard this year, taking big leaps in our careers and growing professionally. We stayed at Lonsdale to celebrate my birthday, built a computer from scratch, and started making our apartment feel like a home.

I’m so excited to see what 2019 holds. We’re keen to see more of the world, continue to develop our careers, and make plenty of new memories along the way. Maybe we’ll even make it home next Christmas. Whatever life has in store, I look forward to sharing it all with my Winty ;)
