Spring 2021

This season has been a series of highs and lows. Covid continued to dominate and despite its impact on our day-to-day life, there were still moments of joy. In March, we did our best to safely see our friends when we could. I also had a work photo shoot for some upcoming collections. So strange to think that commuting to work has now become an event worth acknowledging!

In early April, covid cases began escalated and we saw the highest daily case counts in BC yet. The restrictions increased and we remained mostly housebound. Truthfully, this wave was the hardest one for me mentally.

By May, there were small glimmers of hope. We were invited to book our vaccine appointment and on May 12, we received our first dose. There are few days in the last 14 months that have made me this excited and hopeful. Competing for top spot would have to be meeting baby V.

In the Fall, we were thrilled to learn that our Aussie friends / Canadian family were pregnant. In March, I documented this special time with a maternity shoot at Golden Ears. Little Potato arrived in April and we couldn’t be happier for our friends. After monitoring the covid cases, staying safely distanced and getting our vaccine, we met 7 week old V at the end of May.
