Fall 2022

The phrase “better late than never” feels rather pertinent for this post. Our Fall season feels like it was a lifetime ago and with how much has been going on in the last few months, it kinda adds up.

September.

We kicked off the month in Kelowna, enjoying the last few days of sunshine and coffee before driving back home. A few days later, Mum arrived for a whirlwind visit! It was great to spend this special quality time together. We had high tea, visited a few bridal boutiques, and hunted down some highly requested items for Holly.

October.

After researching our options for the past year, we pulled the trigger on purchasing a couch. We’re nothing if not methodical when it comes to making big purchase decisions. It was worth taking our time to make the right decision, and life has been much more comfortable ever since :) My work entered crunch time in the Fall, so much of October-November had become a blur of rainy days and catalog design.

November.

As if things weren’t busy enough, in early November we received the news that our apartment was going to be put up for sale. The views, the location, the building… we were devastated to part with it. The past two years in this home have been really special.
The thought of needing to vacate multiple times a week for inspections did not appeal, so we started the apartment hunting immediately. It’s rough out there right now, which made the moving process hurt even more. By the end of our Fall season, we’d inspected the apartment that would very soon become our new home.. but that’s a story for the next season!
