Spring 2023
Wow this has been a busy year for us. Spring already feels like it was 6,492 months ago. I said to our wedding officiant recently “turns out planning a wedding takes up a lot of time” but realistically it’s been more than just the wedding stealing our attention.
March and April were spent preparing and recovering from surgery. There’s not a whole lot of content from that time because we were in survival mode, taking it hour by hour, day by day. Although the surgery was minor, poor Aaron had a rough time of it! Now that we’re out the other end, I think we can finally say it was worth it (even if it didn’t feel like it at the time).
The recovery took a little longer than we’d anticipated but we certainly made up for lost time in May. I had a lot of work events (a store opening, photo shoots, and team activities), and most weekends were spent in wedding prep mode. We booked our wedding lunch, Aaron found his suit blazer and I found my wedding ring! As we approach our 3 month countdown, we’re on track to creating a pretty special day :)
